Home24, a Berlin-based ecommerce scale-up, had its sights set on becoming Europe’s go-to online destination for home and living products. As the retailer’s lead product agency, we worked closely with the management team over the course of nearly three years to develop a modern, mobile-first shopping experience for their international customer base.

01 A modern visual language

In order to capture Home24’s core characteristics, we translated their aspirational outlook as a leading European home and living brand into a modern yet welcoming visual language.

02 A streamlined shopping experience

Working with Home24’s 150,000-product strong catalogue, we streamlined the online shop’s upper funnel – making it possible to access over 90% of all product categories in just one simple click. Next, we refined all filters on the product listing page so that customers could quickly and easily find what they needed. Lastly, we created a completely new product detail page flexible enough to accommodate any possible product – from simple chairs to configurable wardrobes – while also maintaining a polished brand experience.

03 Engaging mobile applications

In order to personalise and expedite customers’ shopping experience still further, we created a set of award-winning apps. Completely customised for the native behaviours of Android and iOS ecosystems – and available on both mobile and tablet – we ensured each app would be as accessible and usable as possible.

04 Custom campaign microsites

To support the client’s special campaigns, seasonal events, and product launches throughout the course of our collaboration, we developed several custom microsites. We also played a key role in the launches of the highly successful private labels Kinx and Smood.

Outcome

After the website’s launch, Home24 increased their conversion rate by more than 15%. Meanwhile, the iOS app we developed for the client was awarded Apple’s “Top 25 Apps of the year" in Germany. Five years on from this collaboration, the core of our work for the client remains in use across all platforms.
