Social Media Community Working Student (all genders)

We are seeking a Social Media Community Working Student who is an exceptional communicator. In this role, you deeply understand sports and culture and always find the right words to interact with engaged communities. You will apply a brand voice that truly resonates within culture and sports and have an authentic grasp of youth culture vocabulary.

You will support HY.AM Studios by engaging with and supporting the communities of major international brands, focusing on Berlin's sports and lifestyle youth culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to build relevant social media work experience at a culture-focused creative agency. The initial supporting role will require approximately 10 hours per week. We are also open to non-students on a minijob basis, with the possibility to grow, depending on client project work opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Tone of Voice

  • You are the key executor in translating the brand narrative and identity into a clear voice for social communication.
  • Be aware of youth culture and sports trends to craft a unique brand voice.

Community Engagement

  • Foster relationships with the online community.
  • Respond to comments, messages and mentions on social media platforms.
  • Encourage discussions and interactions among owned and other brands’ communities, largely shaped by your brand voice.
  • Identify outstanding social media opportunities that reflect trends, trigger conversations and drive brand reach and goals.
  • Flag potential partnerships or brand opportunities based on community response.

Customer Support

  • You are the main communicator between the brand and its engaged communities.
  • Redirect complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary.

Audience Growth

  • Propose community-centred initiatives to increase the brand's social media following.
  • Identify and engage with brand partners and on their channels.

Social Media Account

  • Content Publishing.
  • Monitor social media channels for brand mentions and relevant industry conversations.
  • Address and manage online feedback, both positive and negative.
  • Occasional copywriting tasks aligned with the brand's Tone of Voice.
  • Identify recurring topics that could lead to content inspiration.

What You Bring

  • You have C2 German and C1 English skills (speaking and writing).
  • You are fluent in social media, such as Instagram and TikTok.
  • You are a passionate know-it-all for (sub)cultures of sports and lifestyle.
  • You have initial social media experience, specifically with community management, ideally within creative agencies, publishing houses or brands.
  • You are a responsible and proactive problem-solver.
  • You are an energetic and positive communicator with a hands-on approach, ready to make an impact.
  • You are a team player excited about collaborating closely with colleagues and other stakeholders via a distributed model.
  • You have first working knowledge of project management software, such as Asana, Slack and Google for Work. Mastering Figma is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and spoken.
