We are looking for a motivated and savvy New Business Director with at least five years of experience in business development for a creative agency or similar. The New Business Director will play a high-impact role and is responsible for co-creating and executing the new business strategy to develop a robust new business pipeline.
Co-creating the agency’s new business strategy for the fiscal year and presenting this to the senior leadership team for approval.
Translating agency objectives and targets into annual and quarterly (OKRS) plans with the management team; identifying type of work and a plan for targeting our desired client list.
Representing the agency as the first point of contact for prospective clients; understanding their needs and objectives and presenting this to the leadership team.
Managing and completing detailed prospective Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Procurement (RFP).
Managing the new lead capture process, qualifying and prioritising opportunities; Reviewing sales performance, tracking the agency wins and losses and reviewing performance; conversion rate and costs.
Using an innovative approach to data analytics to target (possibly existing) new clients with highly personalised innovative solutions and messages, improving response and conversion rates substantially improving ROI.
Evaluate and advise on new business opportunities
Build in-person relationships with potential clients through meetings, meetups and conferences
Continuously identify services and products to promote to existing clients
You enjoy connecting with the right people to place the agency with international brands and start-ups, establish and nurture sustainable relationships, and close new business.
You have significant experience in new business development, and—most importantly—the digital agency landscape, and an established network of senior leadership with national and international brands and startups in the fashion, lifestyle and technology sector.
You take ownership, autonomously prioritise leads and have persuasive communication to close deals, as these will be vital to make you excel in this challenging yet rewarding role and environment.
5+ years of work experience for a creative agency or similar
Well versed in the field of strategy, branding, digital products, e-commerce, and online marketing
Knowledgeable about the industry, the agency’s competitors and their market position.
Skilled at relationship management; identifying prospects, responding to prospects and supporting the team to convert prospects into clients
You possess a strong influencing ability and gravitas for internal and external engagement. You are skilled at establishing and building an empathetic and commercial relationships.
A good strategic thinker with the ability to undertake strategic planning
Great team player with a willingness to work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
A passion for design, fashion, music, and culture
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively in English [written and verbal]
