New York-based jewellery brand Marlo Laz’s store is known for its immersive visual experience, rich with North African aesthetics and desert tones. Our challenge was to translate this vibrant brand identity into an aspirational digital shopping destination – designed to evoke wanderlust and bohemian luxury.

Approach

After working together with the client to define the overall vision for the new site, we began to piece together bespoke elements that would capture the spirit of Mario Laz’s colourful personality and luxury pieces. To balance this visual abundance with high performance, we enhanced the site’s functional components with visual accents, making them more playful and on brand.

Solution

Through statement typography, bold imagery, evocative graphic elements, and bubbly copy, we told a visual story that conjured the brand’s sense of wanderlust in a dynamic digital language. We further amplified this mood through animation, editorial texts, and charming image layouts – immersing the user fully in the Marlo Laz world.

By redefining Marlo Laz’s colour palette and typographies, we helped to update and expand their brand identity digitally with a visual language that captured the immersive visual experience and desert aesthetic of the brand’s in-person shopping experience.

To pay tribute to the high quality of Marlo Laz’s artisanal, luxury products, we included elements that would illustrate the brand’s own creative journey – from a mood board and scrapbook-style images to handwriting-esque typography.
